Pangel® B20 is a rheological additive derived from sepiolite (hydrated magnesium silicate), with its particle surface organically modified to ensure compatibility with medium and low polarity systems or solvents. It forms a three-dimensional network of particles, enhancing the viscosity and thixotropy of the end product. In epoxy coatings, Pangel® B20 offers the option for partial or complete substitution of fumed silicas and organophilic bentonites typically used as rheological additives, presenting additional cost-effective benefits in formulations.
