ASCONIUM® 110 replaces mineral anticorrosive pigments or improves their performance in waterborne and solvent borne metal coatings. It acts as a hydrophobic agent, enhancing dry film's water resistance and serves as an antiflows-rust additive for galvanized-steel substrates. Additionally, it functions as a corrosion inhibitor, protecting metal packages.

Product Application

As a corrosion inhibitor or hydrophobic agent : can be used with any type of liquid metal coating for industrial, professional, or do-it-yourself purposes, especially with clear-coatings or primers that are based on :

  • Alkyds, solventborne
  • Polyester, solvent borne

For in-can corrosion protection : can also be used in waterborne and solvent borne systems like strippers, glues, degreasers.

Depending on the system, will be added during the dispersion step, or will be post-added.
When it replaces anticorrosion pigments, the reduced PVC should be balanced with fillers used in the paint formulation.
