- The acidic group in Afcona - 8530 gives very good anchoring effect in based pigments like inorganic as well as matting agents. The structure of Afcona - 8530 is rather linear which will help in viscosity reduction of filler and extender dispersions.
- Afcona - 8530 is specially developed for PVC, UPE and PU foam systems where it can help to disperse filler and inorganic pigment in the system with additional of good viscosity reduction property. Besides using a conventional method by using a hydrocarbon solvent to reduce viscosity of PVC system, combination use of Afcona - 8530 is recommended to help to reduce viscosity of PVC system.
- Afcona - 8530 has below special properties and is recommended in below systems:
- PVC system as effective dispersant and viscosity reducer;
- Very good in viscosity reduction. Therefore, suitable as dispersant for high filler loaded systems in PVC, UPE and PU foam;
- Also suitable for oil and solvent-based printing inks especially for inorganic pigment and filler dispersions in alcohol rich systems.
Note: Afcona - 8530 will become hazy or even crystallize at temperatures below 15° C. Re-heat the material before use if crystallization happens. This will not influence the quality of Afcona - 8530.
