Afcona 4598

• Afcona-4598 is the economy version of Afcona – 4595. This is a wetting and dispersing additive for water-based coatings and pigment concentrates. It prevents negative flocculation effects like flooding and floating and improves storage stability.
• It stabilize pigments through effective steric hindrance and electric repulsion. This results in concentrates that have:
  • Lower viscosities
  • Very stable dispersions
  • Good storage stability
  • High color strength
• And final coatings which have:
  • No flooding or floating
  • High color strength
  • High gloss
  • Good storage stability
• Afcona-4598 is completely water-soluble and does not require neutralization.

Afcona-4598 is recommended for all types of pigments. It is also very suitable for transparent iron oxides.

Note: for optimum dispersion use no resin in the grinding phase

Calculation method for the required amount of active ingredient on pigment:

Afcona-4598 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments.
