Afcona – 3587 is the structure of polyether modified polysiloxane. It is recommended to solve substrate wetting problem in water-based coatings. Afcona -3587 can reduce the surface tension quickly, and has excellent property of anti-crater. Hence, no foam stabilization problems as well as inner adhesion problems between coating films.

Afcona-3587 has below advantages:
- Excellent anti-crater behavior.
- Fast and better substrate wetting.
- Improved leveling.
- No inter-coat adhesion problems.
- Little or no foam stabilization.
- Addition and Dosage
0.2 – 1.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.1 – 0.5% based on total formulation.
- Incorporation
Afcona-3587 should be added prior to processing. Shear force is needed If it has been added after processing.
