Afcona 2524

• Afcona-2524 is a silicone-based defoamer suitable for all kinds of waterbased systems. It may be used in systems with PVC from 0 – 25% and is also suitable for emulsions based on a combination of acrylic and polyurethane.
• Afcona-2524 is very easy to incorporate under low shear forces, where it will not cause craters and will not affect the leveling properties of the coating.
• This product also performs as a leveling agent. If additional leveling is required, a small amount of Afcona-3570 or Afcona-3522 may be added.
• Afcona-2524 will not affect the color acceptance of the system.

Add Afcona-2524 at 0.1 – 2.0% based on total formulation. Under normal conditions, 0.2 – 0.3% based on total formulation should be sufficient.

Afcona-2524 should be added at the beginning of production or application into the system.
